Service Engineer, Merchant Automation

Service Engineer to support our regional and worldwide customers.

The ideal candidate has experience with Integrated Control Monitoring Systems (ICMS) and propulsion/steering control systems, with hands-on experience on main engines and thrusters being a plus.

Responsibilities:

1. Customer Support: Commissioning and service for Maritime Merchant & Automation products
2. Service Activities: Cover South East Asia, maintaining good client relationships
3. Technical Preparation: Workshop tests and preparations
4. Execution and Performance: Ensure proper work execution and performance standards
5. Documentation: Generate service reports, update drawings, and maintain databases
6. Remote Guidance: Provide product support to customers and backend support to the service team
7. Project Management: Commission and manage refit/retrofit projects
8. Sales Support: Assist with technical issues and handle administrative tasks
9. Ad-hoc Duties: Undertake assigned tasks

Requirements:

1. (Entry Level) Min. Diploma or Degree in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation
2. 3-5 years of experience in Alarm Monitoring and Control Systems
3. Knowledge of computer hardware/peripherals and basic software
4. Experience onboard ships with automation systems (controls and propulsion)
5. Relevant maritime industry experience
6. Excellent cooperative, communication, and project management skills
7. Self-motivated, meticulous, and methodical approach
8. Ability to work independently and travel overseas on short notice
