We are looking for a Service Engineer, 2-stroke Services. This is a permanent opportunity, and its location is Singapore.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Field Service activities according to the work plan
  • Perform mechanical/electrical troubleshooting on 2-stroke engines and ancillary equipment
  • Provide technical advisory for repair activities executed on customers' responsibility
  • Commission service products
  • Lead and manage the on-site team and related activities during work execution
  • Interact with customers during work execution
  • Coordinate with Field Services back office and Technical Services during work execution
  • Provide internal and external progress status updates of the assigned work
  • Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures
  • Create Service Work Reports
  • Consult, advise, and promote available Wärtsilä solutions and products to customers

Requirements:

  • BSC Degree with 2-5 years of working experience in the related field
  • Diploma in mechanical or marine engineering with more than 5 years of working experience in the related field
  • Excellent technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
  • Good command of English, both written and oral
  • Ability to work independently
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel up to 80% of the time
  • Ability to create internal and external work reports
  • Ability to communicate and interact well with customers and other stakeholders
  • Literacy in Information Management Applications/Tools such as MS Office
