Service Engineer (2-Stroke Engine)

Position: Service Engineer, 2-stroke Services

This is a permanent opportunity, and its location is Singapore.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform Field Service activities according to the work plan
2. Perform mechanical/electrical troubleshooting on 2-stroke engines and ancillary equipment
3. Provide technical advisory for repair activities executed on customers' responsibility
4. Commission service products
5. Lead and manage the on-site team and related activities during work execution
6. Interact with customers during work execution
7. Coordinate with Field Services back office and Technical Services during work execution
8. Provide internal and external progress status updates of the assigned work
9. Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures
10. Create the Service Work Reports
11. Proactively consult, advise, and promote available Wärtsilä solutions and products to customers

Minimum Requirements:

1. BSC Degree with 2-5 years of working experience in the related field
2. Diploma in mechanical or marine engineering with more than 5 years of working experience in the related field
3. Excellent technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
4. Good command of English, both written and oral
5. Ability to work independently
6. Willingness and flexibility to travel up to 80% of the time
7. Ability to create internal and external work reports
8. Ability to communicate and interact well with customers and other stakeholders
9. Literacy in Information Management Applications/Tools such as MS Office
