Job Description – Service Engineer (Maintenance Lead)

We are looking for a Service Engineer as Maintenance Lead to lead and supervise the maintenance team in maintaining and managing system hardware and networks at customer sites located across Singapore island to meet the contractual Service Level Agreement (SLA). The Service Engineer shall report to and be under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager (Reporting Officer (RO)). Hiring shall be a 1-year services contract via agent arrangement with the option to extend or convert to direct outsource or permanent hiring.

Responsibilities

1. Assist the RO in Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) tasks and devise maintenance schedule and resources planning and deployment.
2. Provide solution guidance to the Service Technicians and generate maintenance documentation such as PM & CM reports for RO review and final release to the customer.
3. Provide CM on faults to establish root cause on an ad-hoc basis including I-level & D-level testing and troubleshooting on equipment.
4. Plan and perform PM to system equipment at scheduled/periodic basis including O-level testing and sensors calibration to ensure optimal operational performance.
5. Collaborate with OEM to establish root cause of fault findings and D-level components repair.
6. Supervise sub-contractors performing maintenance at site.
7. Convey updates to RO and customer on maintenance progress.
8. Review with RO on maintenance processes and resources for maintenance process improvement.

Requirements

1. Holding a recognised Professional Certificate minimum with Higher Nitec/Diploma/Degree in Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent from a recognised institution or at least 5 years of working experience in the mentioned engineering fields.
2. Advantage if have knowledge and experience working with sensors, control, automation, and Information Technology (IT) system troubleshooting.
3. Resourcefulness and logical problem-solving aptitude.
4. Able to travel and work under non-conducive environments including sites located at offshore islands, buoys, and in high-security areas such as military bases and airports.
5. Ability to lead and manage a team and work independently with minimum supervision.
6. Ability to conduct risk assessments and provide advisory to team members and RO.
7. Preferably holding a Class 3 driving license and familiar with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS).
8. Ability to converse well in English language and technically.
