Job description

A service crew member's responsibilities include taking orders, serving food and drinks, and providing customer service. They may also help prepare food and handle cash.

Responsibilities

  1. Customer service: Provide friendly and prompt service, answer questions, and help customers with wrong orders.
  2. Food and drink service: Present menus, take orders, and serve food and drinks.
  3. Food preparation: Help prepare food, including cooking, cleaning, and wrapping.
  4. Cash handling: Ring up orders, collect payment, and make change.
  5. Billing: Prepare bills and itemize costs and taxes.
  6. Order assembly: Check orders for accuracy and completeness, and pack for dine-in or takeout.

Skills

  1. Communication: Be able to communicate well with customers and coworkers.
  2. Food safety: Follow food safety regulations and have experience with food safety.
  3. Cleaning: Be able to clean up after cooking and maintain cleanliness.
  4. Physical fitness: Be able to work on your feet for long periods and work irregular hours.
