About the Department
Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities
The Payments Team is responsible for all aspects of the payments processing application portfolio, which includes:
- Defining the payments technology roadmap to support the business strategies and objectives as part of the payments transformation programme.
- Delivering all IT solutions and enhancements.
- Ensuring highly available and scalable system capabilities to accommodate business growth.
- Managing all risk and security aspects of the application portfolio.
- Managing day-to-day application development and integration activities related to the existing cash payments platforms.
- All application software development and support activities from pre-project initiation to post go-live support.
- Building out and leading a team of analysts to implement and integrate solutions that meet business requirements.
- Defining and managing technical solutions from design through to code level.
- Managing 3rd party product vendors and integration partners.
- Providing hands-on guidance to the team on functional and technical issues.
- Partnering with business stakeholders to understand requirements and provide consultation on solutions.
- Leading and contributing to cross-team improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements
- At least 15 years of functional hands-on experience in requirements gathering and documentation.
- Good experience around requirement analysis and design definition.
- Technologist with immense interest in new architectures and programming languages.
- Hands-on experience should include BI tools, IBM MQ, Kafka, Object Design, DevOps tools, and databases.
- Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services.
- Strong IT delivery experience in implementing large scale, highly available database related applications.
- Good understanding of various software development cycle methodologies.
- 10 or more years’ experience managing third-party product vendor relationships.
- 10 or more years’ experience at a manager level or above delivering global IT capabilities.
- Proven results-oriented focus on delivery.
- Highly effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
