About the Department

Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations. We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint to support our regional subsidiaries and branches worldwide.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Stakeholder Relationship Management
    1. Act as a single point of contact (trusted advisor) for senior stakeholders and influencers of the designated business with regard to project portfolio.
    2. Support effective business change by building relationships with Business leaders, Support Functions, Technology and Operational business partners.
    3. Prioritize business requests and manage project pipeline for the portfolio.
    4. Work closely with Business CIOs to plan and manage pipeline with Functional Business Analyst for solution design Operating Model.
  2. Change Implementation Planning & Management
    1. Manage projects end-to-end delivery for designated business segment.
    2. Prepare Investment approval/notation decks including business case, in collaboration with Technology teams.
    3. Develop robust T&O resource plan aligned to project pipeline.
    4. Anticipate business challenges and objectives of T&O initiatives, including high-level budgets and success criteria.
    5. Scope and evaluate new initiatives, defining overall considerations including scalability, maintainability, cost, operations, and technology principal risk to provide a recommendation.
    6. Ensure business perspective on how new operations and technical capabilities will be delivered.
    7. Initiate implementation plans for Group T&O projects, including all necessary activities for new operation processes and technical components.
    8. Spot potential problems, recognize risk impact and propose risk mitigation strategies.
  3. Governance
    1. Develop and maintain required governance for the projects or programme supported, including coordinating PSC meetings.
    2. Implement governance standards across the portfolio, including tracking and monitoring status of programme deliverables.
    3. Report project risks and issues proactively with transparency to help PSC make informed decisions.
  4. Sustainable Improvements
    1. Improve quality of delivery and timelines aligned to business priorities for highest ROI.
    2. Enhance investment efficiency across the portfolio and manage inter-dependencies effectively.
    3. Reduce transaction costs by automating operational processes while delivering change.
    4. Build a sustainable process for measuring benefits to ensure projects are delivered on time and commercialized.

Job Requirements

  • Significant experience in managing large Transformation Programmes / Projects in a banking environment.
  • Complete understanding of project life cycle and Technology development models.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving and process design skills.
  • Understanding of technology and operational processes across functions/departments in the bank/market.
  • Experience in scoping and evaluation of new initiatives.
  • Minimum 18 years of relevant banking experience.

Education

Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in engineering/business/finance or equivalent.
