The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.
Job Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Team Lead for eChannels to drive the strategic management of digital banking channels within our Group Transaction Banking division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team focused on the commercialisation, driving acquisition, usage and management of digital platforms used by SME, corporate and institutional clients. This includes internet banking, mobile platforms, APIs, host-to-host solutions, and other electronic delivery channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the eChannels team in developing and managing digital banking platforms for transaction banking products.
- Collaborate with the development team for digital channel enhancements.
- Excel in stakeholder management with technology, operations, product management and coverage segments to deliver seamless digital solutions that meet client needs and align with strategic goals, ensuring alignment with evolving client expectations, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
- Ensure the stability, security, and scalability of all eChannel platforms.
- Drive digital adoption and client migration from traditional to electronic channels.
- Manage cost by driving more efficient ways to serve customers digitally and holistically.
- Support SME segment in the integration and capability build for partnership solutions for beyond banking capabilities on the bank’s digital platform to drive greater stickiness, including streamlining work processes relating to partner integration capabilities.
- Ensure adherence to compliance, risk, and cybersecurity standards in all digital initiatives.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to the eChannels management team.
- Monitor key performance indicators and client feedback to continuously improve digital services.
- Represent the eChannels function in internal and external forums, including client meetings, workshops, and strategic planning sessions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or related field (MBA or relevant certification preferred).
- More than 7 years of experience in managing transaction banking products and/or electronic delivery channels including internet/mobile banking, host-to-host and SWIFT SCORE/FileAct.
- At least 3 years of experience in managing a team.
- Digital banking experience within corporate space, applying customer-centric design thinking with a focus on user experience.
- Good knowledge of both waterfall and agile methodologies.
- Strong experience in project management, demonstrating macro level thinking and analysis.
- Proven track record of leading and delivering projects as part of a cross-functional team.
- Solid grasp of regulatory frameworks and digital risk management.
- Creative and open mind to feedback and alternative suggestions.
- Meticulous with an eye for details.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Agile/DevOps delivery models.
- Familiarity with global transaction banking trends and competitive landscape.
- Prior experience in managing complex digital platforms.
