Senior Veterinary Technician

Full time position available for a senior veterinary technician. We are a GP clinic with a strong focus in palliative and geriatric care. Our patients are commonly above the age of 14 and require fragile handling and close monitoring.

Duties:

1. Supportive role to the consulting and surgical vets
2. Work well in a team with other senior technicians
3. Train and direct junior technicians
4. Able to perform and assist in high level technical procedures confidently
5. Responsible for critical, geriatric hospital patients
6. Work overnight shifts and public holiday shifts as rostered

Ideal candidates should have:

1. At least 5 years of small animal clinical experience in a hospital or critical care facility
2. Possess a veterinary degree
3. Fear free or gentle handling skills
