POSITION: SENIOR TRADE FINANCE OFFICER

LOCATION: SINGAPORE

REPORTING TO: FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Transaction Management:

• Update deal recaps, trade reports, monitor and handle transactions from start to end and keep track of transaction date for LC issuance, settlement etc.
• Manage and allocate transactions to bilateral banks.
• Liaise with traders and operation colleagues for shipment information.
• Prepare LC format, review and negotiate with counterparties.
• Update banks about status of transactions and provide LC issuance / payment instructions when required.
• Reconcile hedge position and allocate them to banks.
• Prepare invoicing and document presentation to banks.

Cash Management and Bank documentation:

• Follow up receivables and payables relating to cargo financing.
• Monitor the cash position and liaise with banks or inter/related companies for deposits and loans.
• Assist with bank application forms and updates.

Various tasks:

• Assist the Financial Controller in specific process enhancement projects and/or any other ad-hoc or reporting requirements.
• Willing to take on additional task/s if required.

KEY COMPETENCIES/ SKILL SETS

• University graduates with min 4 - 7 years working experience in trade commodity finance with a bank in a middle office role or a trading company.
• Well-versed in UCP/ISBP preferred.
• Familiarity with technicalities of LC issuance, confirmation, discounting and other forms of transactional security is essential.
• Able to manage transactions from start to end and pre-empt potential pitfalls.
• Detailed-oriented, accurate, reliable, good time management and responsive.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Capacity to work within a team.
• Commitment to work.

COMPENSATION
