Key Responsibilities:

1. Establish and enforce documentation standards, style guides, and best practices to ensure consistency and clarity.
2. Service Manuals:
1. Develop and maintain detailed service manuals for new and existing cleaning robot products.
2. Ensure manuals are tailored for both on-ground technicians and end customers, providing clear instructions for installation, operation, maintenance, and repair.
3. Collaborate with engineering and product teams to gather technical details and validate accuracy.
3. Troubleshooting Documents:
1. Create troubleshooting guides to help technicians and customers diagnose and resolve common issues with cleaning robots.
2. Organize and present troubleshooting steps in a logical and user-friendly manner.
3. Continuously update documents based on feedback and product updates.
4. Software Release Notes:
1. Write and distribute software release notes to inform customers of new features, bug fixes, and improvements.
2. Ensure release notes are clear, concise, and aligned with the software development teams updates.
3. Coordinate with the marketing and customer support teams to ensure timely delivery of release notes.
5. Product Upgrade Documentation:
1. Develop documentation to support product upgrades, including step-by-step instructions for dealers and customers.
2. Work closely with the product management and engineering teams to understand upgrade processes and communicate them effectively.
3. Ensure all upgrade documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
6. Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:
1. Partner with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, customer support, and marketing, to gather information and ensure documentation meets user needs.
2. Review and update existing documentation to reflect product changes, improvements, and customer feedback.
3. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in technical writing to enhance the quality of documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 to 8 years of experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in the robotics, consumer electronics, or product manufacturing industries.
• Proven experience writing service manuals, troubleshooting guides, and software documentation.
• Familiarity with robots or commercial cleaning products is a plus.
• Professional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand complex product functionalities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
