The Senior Technical Support & Connectivity Specialist is to provide technical support for internal and direct customers using leading-edge digital pathology, POC & diagnostics products. This exciting and dynamic position will involve providing technical expertise to all areas of the business, including Service and Sales across 3 Op-Cos (Leica Biosystems, Cepheid, Radiometer). The ideal candidate must have experience working with external customers remotely and onsite to resolve technical issues. Healthcare IT and support of high-tech diagnostic/medical equipment background is essential. The applicant must be able to work well independently, be customer-centric and have excellent communication skills. This position will be remote.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for all Imaging and connectivity technical support across the diagnostics Platform (Leica Biosystems, Cepheid, Radiometer) within the assigned region either remotely or onsite.
  • Provide technical assistance to customers, application specialists and field engineers by telephone, remote access, e-mail and onsite visits.
  • Provide 24/7 technical support when issues arise.

Required Education, Experience, Skills

  • 5+ years’ experience providing technical support for systems with software and hardware components.
  • BS in information technology, engineering or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience with installation and technical support of Windows and Linux based software products.
  • Up to 20% overseas business travel.
