Senior Technical Superintendent

Our client, a globally recognized shipping company, is looking for an experienced professional to oversee and refine ship inspection procedures. Key Responsibilities

1. Manage and enhance ship inspections to ensure fleet safety and compliance, including coordination with third-party inspection entities.
2. Conduct inspections when required to verify adherence to regulatory and operational standards.
3. Provide technical guidance on machinery issues, supporting troubleshooting and operational efficiency.
4. Oversee pre-joining briefings for seafarers, ensuring crew readiness and compliance with safety procedures.
5. Monitor regulatory updates and industry advancements, integrating best practices into fleet operations.
6. Administer ISO 9001 certification and vessel condition assessments, ensuring quality and compliance standards are met.

Key Requirements

1. Former Chief Engineer with relevant shore experience in the capacity of a Superintendent.
2. Working experience with container ships at sea and/or ashore.
3. Expertise in ship inspections, machinery diagnostics, and regulatory frameworks (IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, Class Rules, etc.).
4. Proven experience in ISO 9001 certification and compliance management.
5. Strong analytical and communication skills to evaluate inspection reports, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive operational improvements.
