Senior System Administrator

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive IT support to our fleet, ensuring all vessels meet our company's standards and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Respond to technical support calls/emails from vessels regarding computer, network, application, and connectivity issues.
2. Set up and install new computers, network infrastructure, and software on board vessels.
3. Maintain network infrastructure and Vessel IT Inventory.
4. Collaborate with the remote support team to resolve cases.
5. Diagnose and fix network problems and hardware or software faults.
6. Work closely with the fleet team to ensure vessels meet company IT standards and requirements.
7. Participate in project preparation or solutions as assigned by the IT Manager.
8. Gain exposure to other IT segments such as OT equipment, CCTV, WiFi infrastructure, and satellite communications.
9. Attend vessels as per the attendance plan scheduled by the vessel fleet team, vessel requests, or Senior Vessel IT Manager requests.
10. Ensure vessels are cyber compliant and meet BSM requirements, including patch management.
11. Assist the Senior Vessel IT Manager and Fleet team with new deliveries or vessel takeovers, providing IT design, setup, and recommending IT items to supply as per company IT requirements.
12. Handle emergency or urgent cases from vessels, especially those related to Cyber Security.
13. Provide IT briefings to vessel crew members as required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or related fields.
2. At least 3 years of experience in Vessel IT.
3. Willingness to travel to different locations island-wide and overseas to support vessels, take over vessels, or assist with new deliveries depending on the vessel's schedules and arrival times.
4. Proficient in networking, Windows OS including server and MS Office, WiFi networking, network infrastructure, firewall, VLANs, and routing.
5. Ability to work independently and prepare proper documentation for work completion, providing regular reports to the Senior Vessel IT Manager.
6. Certification in networking and Cyber Security.
