Role Overview: As the Senior Supervisor, Contract Logistics Industrial Vertical, you will play a critical role in overseeing and coordinating day-to-day operations within the contract logistics team. You will be responsible for supervising team members, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and assisting in the implementation of strategic objectives to drive operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
Team Supervision: Supervise and lead a team of logistics professionals, ensuring that they are motivated, well-trained, and focused on achieving operational goals. Provide guidance and support to enhance team performance.
Operational Oversight: Oversee all aspects of contract logistics activities, including inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and distribution. Ensure daily operations are executed efficiently and in alignment with company goals.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track team performance, identify areas for improvement, and ensure that service levels meet or exceed customer expectations. Provide regular feedback to team members on performance.
Compliance: Ensure that all logistics activities are in full compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. Stay informed on regulatory changes and guide the team to follow best practices.
Continuous Improvement: Support the continuous improvement process by identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality. Encourage team involvement in process improvement initiatives.
Reporting and Updates: Assist in preparing monthly business updates, reporting on performance, challenges, and revenue trends to senior management.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role within contract logistics.
Experience managing day-to-day logistics operations and working with key performance indicators (KPIs).
Strong understanding of contract logistics, warehousing, and distribution processes.
Proficient in logistics software and tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members and management.
