Senior / Speech Therapist (Sponsorship)

Job Responsibilities:

1. Assess patients in a logical and sequential manner, generating and testing a hypothesis reasoning.
2. Analyse patients' problems directly related to the conditions referred, demonstrating sound clinical reasoning.
3. Plan and implement treatment, reflecting current available scientific evidence, ensuring patient safety and effectiveness of intervention.
4. Monitor patients' progress throughout treatment, prepare and maintain records and reports as appropriate, ensuring adherence to confidentiality requirements.
5. Participate as an active member of the care team via attending relevant ward/unit rounds, clinics, meetings, and in research and work improvement activities.
6. Contribute to achievement of departmental action plan, collaborating with internal and external clients in a professional manner.
7. Contribute to learning and growth through active participation in departmental clinical education and clinical training initiatives.
8. Supervise and facilitate learning of support staff/students/junior staff/peers as required.
9. Oversee Therapy Assistants on performance of duties to ensure safe and effective treatment.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor/Master Degree in Speech Pathology or its equivalent (Studying)
2. Trained and experienced in working with adult patients with voice and swallowing disorders.
3. Good interpersonal skills.
4. Good team player and able to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
5. Preferably with ability to speak more than 1 language or dialect.
