Job description
The incumbent is to maintain or improve workplace safety and health in the workplaces assigned and preventing accidents from happening
Responsibilities
In-charge of HSE function of the entire plant, drive for continuous improvement by implementing up-to-date standards to comply with local legislations and other requirements.
To develop HSE KPI, Creating analytical reports of safety data for operations and safety awareness programmes to promote safety & health culture mindset.
Meeting company health and safety goals and implementing programs to comply with MOM, SCDF and NEA requirements.
Collaborated with management to attain and maintain a comprehensive Safety and Health system, ISO 45001 and BizSAFE Star certifications.
Conduct investigations, Risk assessment and safety audits, keeping on the lookout for any unsafe behaviour or breaks in regulations and production equipment and processes to make sure they are safe.
Presenting safety principles to staff in meetings or lecture-type training sessions.
Participating in continuing education to update knowledge of health and safety protocols and techniques
Creating safety plans that include suggested improvements to existing infrastructure and business processes.
Sharing information, suggestions, and observations with project leadership to create consistency in safety standards throughout the production team and the entire company.
Conduct incident/accident investigation processes including root cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are completed. Finding the best way to prevent future accidents.
Liaising with law enforcement and other investigators who are present at the time of a serious accident.
Reviewing and reporting on the staff's & contractors’ compliance with health and safety rules and recommending commendations or dismissal based on performance.
Conduct monthly Safety & Health committee meetings and organize Safety & Health committee inspections.
Assist in the emergency response plan and respond to all HSE incidents and emergencies.
Conducting training programs and briefings on workplace safety and health and inspections to ensure that all staff and/or subcontractors onsite abide by policies and standards
Enforcement of safety standards in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act
Assist the company in safety related certifications and awareness such as safety audits, meetings, and executive of safety programmes
Keeping up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes in safety guidelines
To be appointed as FSM for DCs 9 (Optional)
Requirements
A recognised diploma course or bachelor degree related to environmental and occupational health and safety
Register as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer with Singapore's Ministry of Manpower for at least 5 years
At least 5 to10 years of relevant experience in WSH for manufacturing/commercial/warehousing industry
Preferably with FSM certification
Possess a minimum Diploma in Environment, Health and Safety Management or related field
Excellent people management skills and good interpersonal skills
Proven experience in Workplace Safety & Health Management
