Responsibilities
Regional Internal Control System (ICS) Coordinator:
Key regional contact person for any ICS related queries including ICON system (also includes updates in ICON when there are changes)
Work in collaboration with global ICS team and country ICS leads to ensure all controls are assessed, closed, remediated timely; including organizing monthly calls with country and global ICS leads to provide forum for clarifications and discussions
Coordinate evidences required where applicable at regional level with key data providers including Accenture, IT COE delivery etc.
Constantly improve the ICS standards and results for all countries through working with stakeholders to ensure consistency, and upskilling the knowledge of country teams
Conduct audits/quality checks on evidences provided for ICS assessment and advise on applicable / necessary corrections
Work on Internal Control Guidance for the OneCloud processes in scope of country execution
Regional LEAP Coordinator:
Act as the key regional contact on contract entry in LEAP or general IFRS16 queries
Act as the liaison between country/hub lease coordinators and global stakeholders (accounting governance, corporate accounting); Including bringing discussion topics on material lease contracts with global/corporate team, answering queries from global/corporate on lease contracts
Conduct quarterly LEAP/IFRS16 calls and disseminate/share important information with country/hub lease coordinators
Support the Accounting Governance on the coordination to implement all new and changes of accounting regulations within the region:
Ensure data reported in CREST and local accounting systems is an accurate record of the results (mainly to verify the final financial statutory statements and review the reconciling items to understand if there are any material differences)
Develop in collaboration with Global Accounting Governance regional policies and procedures in compliance with DPDHL policy to strengthen corporate governance
Ensure fulfilment of any IFRS requirements.
Undertake Balance Sheet Reviews for countries in the DSC regions in collaboration with Global DSC and DP DHL Accounting Governance or as required by the respective CFOs.
Review and evaluate BCAs created by the DSC region on DP DHL accounting policies and (DP DHL accounting) risks.
Review and investigation of BCAs (e.g. RES) incl. approval for the region
Statutory reconciliation between CREST figures and audited financial statement
Build effective working relationships with the Finance department of the Countries and providing support as required
Support in Finance Internal Audit:
Participate in the opening, pre-closing, closing internal audit meetings for those finance internal audit
Providing support to auditors queries and countries' responses
Assist and follow up with countries on the remediation of the findings
To work with respective CFOs in the sharing of the audit findings to the wider APAC CFOs community
To conduct process review as and when required
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting and internal control functions
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work effectively with different levels of people
Attention to detail
Good knowledge of SAP system (CREST) and/or Oracle preferred
Asia Pacific / Regional exposure preferred
Relevant university degree, professional accounting qualification or equivalent Prior audit experience and knowledge of Oracle is an advantage
Knowledge of international accounting standards (IAS) and Singapore FRS
