Responsibilities:
- Performs complex analysis tasks and comprehensive facility planning (e.g. opportunity analysis, options development, option evaluation, pro/con comparison, makes recommendations) with some guidance. Administer or guide occupancy data collection studies.
- Able to produce high quality planning deliverables (Planning Recommendation / Planning Brief) with little guidance.
- Generates program and test fits in accordance to established parameters/workplace standards as needed.
- Assists in migration and phase planning of large-scale occupancy projects.
- Maintain oversight on accuracy for all occupancy data in assigned portfolio.
- Ensures planning deliverables provided meet client expectations.
- Provide analytical guidance for the implementation and ongoing operation of shared desking environments. Administer and guide occupancy data collection studies to inform workplace strategy guidelines.
- Workplace program champion - communicating BLK's approach to workplace, space assignment and mobility.
- Provide analytical guidance to drive major space projects and restacks, ensuring that solutions meet business needs and global workplace policies. Perform analysis and develop options that account for competing priorities and requests. Develop and present multiple space scenarios to meet these objectives.
- Build and maintain a positive relationship with key business contacts while maintaining confidentiality to support guidance in business strategy and planning. Mediates meetings, guiding toward consensus and future steps.
- Conducts executive level interviews/presentations and makes management level presentations that achieve desired outcomes.
- Maintain space planning and forecasting reports and headcount projections.
- Drive the development of office plans and guide workplace spend (MAC, reconfiguration, construction etc.) in alignment with 'plan for the site(s)' in the region.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills; Knowledge and ability to use analytical and problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to complete tasks and produce deliverables independently with minimal supervision.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate complex planning data models and scenarios, with some assistance.
- Distills complex information to the essential for decision-making.
- Solid understanding of current workplace planning theories.
- Intermediate understanding of IWMS/CAFM systems; Accordant preferred.
- Proficiency in Saltmine to create test fits for planning scenarios and compare potential real estate options to program requirements.
- Basic AutoCAD skills.
- Some understanding of linkage between RE planning & financial results, and with guidance is capable of tailoring strategic direction to address financial challenges.
- Capable of participating in discussions with business representatives on RE strategies and space use concepts.
- Use PowerPoint at an advanced level.
- Strong analysis and spreadsheet capabilities; uses Excel at an intermediate level.
- Solid computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- English language proficiency.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture, real estate, interior design or planning, engineering.
- Professional certification in facility management, interior design, engineering, or architecture preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in delivery of occupancy projects.
- 5 years' experience in collaborative team building.
