You will help implement web analytics platforms like Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics. You will use Tag Management Systems like Adobe Launch, GTM, and Tealium IQ, and design data layers. You will also get exposure to cutting-edge data-driven digital marketing technology, including CDPs and CEPs. You may set up and operate marketing automation and personalization tools.
This is a technical role. It would suit someone with a desire to learn how to implement top-end martech and digital data platforms.
The role will be based in Singapore but may require travel to client sites across APAC.
This role would suit someone with experience working in a digital team client-side or agency-side, who has successfully used web analytics tools to measure/optimize online acquisition and conversion.
Typical Daily Activity
In a typical day, you could be:
- Assisting in running workshops to gather and document technical requirements
- Supporting the platform selection process to help identify suitable tools and technologies for specific parts of the architecture
- Aiding in creating business solution designs for analytics implementations on websites and mobile apps
- Implementing these analytics solutions, typically platforms such as Adobe Analytics, Webtrends, Google Analytics, through:
- Writing tagging guides
- Delivering tags through a Tag Management System
- Designing and delivering data layers
- Setting up profiles and custom reports
Conducting audits of client sites to assess tagging accuracy and performing gap analyses
Reviewing other data sources, including media, CRM, or offline data, to evaluate their integration with web analytics
Supporting the design, build, and automation of data engineering solutions using cloud technologies like AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Collaborating with the Data Strategy team to implement front-end code for optimization and personalization experiences, and assisting in testing these solutions using tools such as Optimizely, AB Tasty, Adobe Target, and Visual Website Optimizer
Designing and building dashboards on PowerBI/Tableau or other visualization tools
Assisting in training and mentoring clients on effectively using their technical architecture and platforms
In addition, you will be involved in connecting other data sources with web analytics, so you will have a good working knowledge of Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), DMPs, media tags (e.g., DoubleClick), CRM data, email marketing data, video data, and social media analytics.
This role will not require you to analyze the data – that is the job of our Data Strategy team – but you will be interested in the commercial impact of your data, either from analysis or from marketing automation.
This is a client-facing, billable role where you will support the Solutions Consultant in managing multiple clients. This includes assisting with client meetings and conference calls, ensuring clear and logical communication of technical information.
Responsibilities
- Digital Data Architecture: Collaborate with the Solutions Consultant to interpret business requirements and design effective digital data architectures that align with clients’ needs across various tools and technologies.
- Technical Projects: Work within project teams to help implement digital analytics solutions on client platforms, ensuring all technical requirements are met.
- Technical Support: Respond to client support requests promptly, often handling critical issues as a trusted final resource.
- Project Management: Work with the Project Manager to ensure Mezzo delivers on time and on budget. Manage clients' expectations, change requests, and scope creep. Check all deliverables before they go to the client. Ensure the client is kept regularly updated on progress. Get sign-off of each deliverable. Raise invoices at the end of each phase.
- Feedback: Get feedback from each client and compile a close-out report with recommendations for continuous improvement.
Requirements
You will need to have:
- Technical / Analytics Expertise: At least 5 years’ technical experience implementing analytics tools and technologies (note: this is essential – you must have experience of writing documents like tagging guides or Solution Design Documents, not just briefing them in for someone else to write).
- Experience in at least one tag management system (e.g., GTM, DTM/Launch, or Tealium iQ).
- Experience in designing and implementing data layers to support analytics requirements.
- Familiarity with advanced analytics technologies, such as CDPs, DMPs, and Marketing Clouds, and the ability to integrate these with other data sources.
- Knowledge of JavaScript at an intermediate level.
- Data Analysis and Visualization Expertise: Strong proficiency in building dashboards on data visualization platforms (PowerBI/Tableau), with the ability to create visually impactful, data-driven insights.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data across various databases.
- A good understanding of technology, with a desire to learn more and try new tools.
- Analytics and Integration Experience: Understanding of data engineering approaches, tools, and technologies.
- Practical experience with cloud platforms, including Azure (Logic apps, Event Hub, Data Factory, etc.) and AWS (Glue, S3, Redshift, etc.) for data engineering and analytics.
- Proficient in Python at an intermediate level for data processing, automation, and integration tasks.
Preferably, you should have:
- Advanced Cloud and Data Engineering Skills: Hands-on experience with data engineering technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
- Foundational knowledge of data science methods for advanced analytics.
- Front-end Optimization and Personalization: Knowledge of front-end development, specifically around optimization/personalization build (HTML, JS) and configuration (in tools like Adobe Target, Optimizely, AB Tasty, VWO).
- Personal Qualities: Sociability – be a generous and likable team member; Curiosity – be energetic, positive, enthusiastic, with an enquiring mind.
Overall, this role is ideal for a technically skilled professional who is comfortable interacting with clients, has a blend of data engineering, analytics, and cloud platform experience, who is ready to create impactful insights through dashboards/data integrations and with a natural curiosity/eagerness to learn on the go.
