Senior Software Engineer

BlockTech is a fast-paced algorithmic trading firm facilitating global cryptocurrency trading while expanding into regulated markets. As we continue to grow rapidly, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join us amid our exciting scale-up phase!

What will you do?

1. Design and develop brand-new components that push the boundaries of performance, scalability and efficiency with Rust and/or Python.
2. Optimize and scale our existing trading infrastructure, ensuring it remains fast, robust, and reliable.
3. Take full ownership of projects—your work directly influences the company's success.
4. Collaborate with our traders, quants, and engineers to develop state-of-the-art trading technology.
5. This is a role where your ideas matter—innovation and experimentation are encouraged!

Minimum Requirements:

1. 5+ years of commercial working experience as a Software Engineer in the trading/financial domain.
2. Affinity with our tech stack and the willingness to work with it. We use Rust and Python, but it is also great if you have experience with C++.
3. A solid understanding of asynchronous programming.
4. Experience in the trading domain.
5. Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
6. A critical mind who follows things until completion.
7. The ability to confidently work on completely new components.
8. A high level of responsibility and ownership.
