Senior Site Engineer (Building Project)

Job Descriptions:

1. Report to Project Manager / Construction Manager.

2. Overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion.

3. Responsible for handling Civil, Structural and Architectural works and coordinate M&E works interface.

4. Responsible for developing micro-program and monitoring of site works.

5. In-depth reviewing of projects to schedule deliverables and cost estimation.

6. Lead the junior engineers, site supervisors and subcontractors for work implementation.

7. Study the buildability of the construction drawings and raise technical queries to the in-house design consultant for clarifications.

8. Liaise with consultants for the submission and approval of materials, shop drawings, method statement and risk assessment.

9. Ensure safety procedures are implemented and meet company’s standard and legislation.

10. Ensure safety and health are in place according to building and safety regulations.

11. Monitor, control, and coordinate site works.

12. Ensure projects meet customer’s quality standards.

13. Co-ordinate the works of subcontractors and other departments within the organisation.

14. Prepare site utilization plan.

15. Perform ad-hoc duties as directed by the management.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering/ Structural Engineering/ Construction Engineering / Construction Management or other related disciplines.

2. Min. 5 years working experience with contractor in the construction industry.

3. Prior 3 years' experience in building projects.

4. Good command of English.

5. Possess BCSS certificate.

6. Knowledge in Design and Auto Cad (3D) for Civil Structure work.

7. Able to coordinate with client and consultant for documents and inspection approval.

8. Process good knowledge of the market updates and construction cost trend.

9. Experience in industrial i.e.: factories, petrol/chemical plant projects will be added advantage.

10. Committed, positive attitude and able to handle projects independently.

11. Passionate and people-oriented personalities with strong interest to excel in Project Management.

12. Good leadership and management skills.

13. Able to work night shifts and weekends when necessary.
