About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior/Sales Manager (Major Retail) to drive sales and business growth across key retail channels, including major supermarket chains, convenience stores, food kiosks, vending machine operators, and other retail outlets. This role will focus on expanding our footprint in retail packaging products (cling wrap, aluminium foil, baking paper, zipper bags) and specialty food products(confectionery and snacks). The ideal candidate will have strong industry knowledge, established relationships with key retailers, and a track record of achieving sales targets in the FMCG sector. Additionally, this role will involve pushing new products into the market, expanding the company’s existing product range, and managing a team of merchandisers to ensure effective in-store execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share and sales revenue within the major retail sector.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key buyers, category managers, and decision-makers at major supermarket chains, convenience stores, food kiosks, and vending machine operators.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand product distribution into untapped retail channels.
  • Drive the introduction and successful rollout of new products, ensuring strong market penetration and consumer adoption.
  • Expand and optimize the existing product range to align with market demands and customer preferences.
  • Manage, train, and oversee a team of merchandisers to ensure optimal product visibility, shelf placement, and promotional execution.
  • Negotiate and manage pricing, promotions, and trade marketing initiatives to drive sales growth.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to provide strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (supply chain, marketing, finance) to ensure seamless execution of sales plans.
  • Analyze sales performance, generate reports, and provide insights to optimize revenue and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with retailer requirements, product listing procedures, and contractual agreements.
  • Drive brand awareness and visibility through in-store promotions, merchandising initiatives, and marketing campaigns.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experiencein FMCG sales, preferably in food packaging or specialty food products.
  • Proven track record of success in managing major retail accounts and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of modern trade, general trade, and convenience store operations.
  • Experience in introducing new products to the market and expanding existing product lines.
  • Experience in managing and leading a team of merchandisers for in-store execution.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to drive data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM tools.
