The Senior Sales Manager will assist the Director of Sales & Marketing in developing and implementing a strategic sales plan and budget to align with the company’s and hotel’s objectives. This role involves analyzing sales performance, driving revenue growth, maintaining client relationships, and actively seeking new sales opportunities. The Senior Sales Manager is expected to demonstrate exceptional client relationship skills, strong analytical capabilities, and a proactive approach to sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Management and Business Development
Conduct client meetings and presentations, showcasing the hotel’s offerings and building trust and rapport to close sales and build long-term relationships.
Draft and present proposals tailored to client needs, ensuring a thorough understanding of their requirements and maximizing sales conversion.
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, managing ongoing relationships to foster loyalty and repeat business.
Develop and maintain a strong network within the local market to promote the hotel and its services, strengthening its competitive position.
Sales Analysis and Problem-Solving
Analyze and evaluate sales performance and market trends, identifying issues and recommending actionable strategies to optimize revenue streams and solve identified problems.
Utilize data-driven insights to refine sales approaches and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
Sales Administration and Reporting
Maintain meticulous records, including client files, booking histories, trace dates, and all relevant sales activities, for easy access and reference.
Generate and analyze various sales and tracking performance metrics across individual travelers (FITs) and groups.
Furnish monthly sales reports detailing achievements, challenges, and actionable insights, ensuring these reports are delivered to the Director of Sales & Marketing and other relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
Revenue and Target Achievement
Drive sales efforts to meet or exceed budgeted room night quotas and average daily rates as outlined in the hotel’s annual business plan, ensuring consistent progress toward revenue targets.
Monitor and adjust sales tactics based on performance, adjusting plans as needed to stay aligned with budgeted objectives.
Other Duties
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing or other senior management, contributing to the overall success of the Sales and Marketing team and supporting broader hotel initiatives.
Job Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a hotel sales role with a strong track record in business development and client relationship management.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence clients and internal stakeholders.
Positive attitude, adaptability to challenges, and a drive to exceed sales targets.
Professional demeanor, attention to detail, and a high degree of organizational skills.
Proficiency in sales and reporting tools such as Travelclick and Opera.

Knowledge of market trends, competitor activities, and hotel industry standards is a plus.
