This position reports to:

Local Business Area Manager

Your role and responsibilities:

Join us as a Sales Manager / Senior Sales Manager for the Motion Business area where you will be developing an effective sales strategy within the specified market scope and maintaining it to improve ABB's market penetration and realize growth aspirations. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Defining key sales targets and establishing appropriate metrics and measurement tools to monitor performance. Anticipating and identifying shortfalls in performance and taking appropriate remedial actions.
  2. Identifying and evaluating new opportunities with existing and potential customers, determining plans for implementation, and allocating required resources.
  3. Planning and executing customer surveys and acting on the survey results to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Participating in the negotiation of key contracts.
  4. Identifying, monitoring, and maintaining sales market price levels, after evaluating the pricing impact on results with the Product Management team.
  5. Supporting sales organizations to ensure the achievement of sales volume and product mix targets.
  6. Monitoring client financial status and reporting any changes regarding risk to relevant internal partner teams.
  7. Identifying and managing potential risks related to contract agreements across customers/channels.
  8. Developing, implementing, and reviewing sales processes and tools, and the related training and development activities.
  9. Promoting and enabling collaboration in the division, across divisions, business areas, and teams to maximize results for ABB.
  10. Providing guidance to the teams and seeking knowledge for their own development and coaching/mentoring of the teams.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 7 years of Sales Management experience ideally from a similar industry
  • Knowledge in Drive products will be an added advantage
