Senior Road Alignment and Transport Engineer

The Senior Road Alignment and Transport Engineer role at Arup involves leading the planning and design of highway, roadway, land development, and infrastructure projects. This position requires expertise in transportation engineering and design, proactive client engagement, and the ability to manage projects from concept to detailed design and construction planning.

The Opportunity

• Lead the road alignment design for major transport, development, and infrastructure projects, including road engineering analysis and traffic engineering solutions.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients to understand their objectives and deliver innovative, integrated design solutions.
• Prepare 3D models using software packages like Bentley OpenRoads and Autodesk Civil 3D, and communicate outcomes effectively.
• Actively pursue design excellence and contribute to skills networks and continuous improvement systems.
• Project manage small to medium-sized projects, delegating and managing tasks of junior team members.

Is this role right for you?

• Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Transport, or similar areas.
• Extensive industry experience in road alignment, road design, and transport and traffic engineering within a consulting business environment.
• Extensive knowledge of road design, including familiarity with current industry standards and Singapore regulations and approvals processes.
• Proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads, Autodesk Civil 3D, MicroStation, and AutoCAD.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to foster a creative approach to problem-solving.
