Senior Quantity Surveyor/Contract Manager (L6 M&E Sub-Con) (ID: 649132) LXY

Our client, a well-known Sub-Contractor in the construction industry, is looking for talent as a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Contract Manager.

Job Responsibilities

1. Lead in the negotiation of contract terms and assessment of contract proposals.
2. Draft, review and issue contracts and agreements between customers and the Company, sub-contractors and suppliers.
3. Develop and execute contracts & commercial negotiations and administration strategies for project tendering or administration.
4. Prepare and monitor project cost budget, cash-flow for the project and adjust budget projections.
5. Work closely with the director, project teams and quantity surveyors to resolve any potential technical and contractual issues and ensure that all legal implications are properly reviewed and managed.
6. Administer contracts, prepare proposals and negotiations in accordance with Company’s policies and requirements.
7. Analyse contract terms and identify possible risks and opportunities related to the application of contract clauses.
8. Provide professional advice and support in tender exercise and subsequently, prepare the contract documentation / schedules.
9. Manage any post tender queries, clarification, contract claims, disputes or conflicts.
10. Provide advice on contractual claims and procurement strategy.
11. Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports.
12. Value completed work and make progress claims.
13. Execute other assigned tasks as delegated by the management team.

Job Requirements

1. Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
2. Preferably with at least 8 years of experience in construction.
3. Well versed in both public and private sector conditions of contract and construction law of Singapore.
4. Excellent written, communication and negotiation skills.
