DESIGNATION: Senior Psychologist

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Psychologist provides psychological services within multi-disciplinary settings, applying a wide array of psychometric assessments and treatments for clients with routine psychological conditions. S/He conducts and writes reports for Mental Capacity Assessment for deputyship. S/He conducts psychoeducational programmes and training for other professionals. S/He works under supervision and in collaboration with other professionals in the course of his work.

  • Conduct psychological assessments and assessment interviews to assess client's mental capacity under supervision
  • Manage psychological cases
  • Prepare assessment reports for routine cases and deputyship applications.
  • Identify gaps in assessment tools in relation to application in local contexts and propose possible contextualisation to supervisors
  • Deliver case presentations within psychological services
  • Formulate evidence-based and data-driven intervention plans in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams for routine cases
  • Deliver interventions for cases including medico-legal and forensic cases under supervision
  • Identify areas of improvements to existing interventions based on research and sector trends
  • Deliver psychological programmes and services
  • Provide psychological inputs to other specialised departments and relevant professionals
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver and improve client care and services
  • Adhere to professional standards in clinical and legal and ethical practices
  • Adhere to policies and procedures for professional practice
  • Identify areas of improvement in client care and services for quality improvement projects
  • Assist in the delivery of training programmes as part of continuing professional development
  • Deliver psychoeducation programmes for clients and other organisations
  • Identify areas of improvement in models of client care and services based on evidence-based practices
  • Perform data collection and analysis to support research
  • Provide peer support

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree with Honours in Psychology or Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, or Applied Psychology (preferred)
  • Certification in conducting mental capacity assessments (preferred)
  • Knowledge or expertise in disability or related fields

  • Registration with Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) preferred
