Position Summary

Senior Project Management Lead to oversee a team of Project Managers responsible for various business and technology project execution. Projects may range from minor product launches to large‐scale new business ventures containing major technology upgrades and/or implementations. This role also includes leading the Quality Assurance (QA) and certification team to ensure all projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will be expected to provide subject matter expertise in areas including budget planning, providing executive tracking dashboard for various projects, project scope management, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, facilitation, budget tracking and other areas, as well as drive risk/issue resolution and appropriate escalations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage the end‐to‐end project SDLC cycle across the various stages such as: requirements gathering, solutioning & design, planning, quality assurance, and implementation into production
2. Work closely with various technical teams across the Technology division to identify non‐functional requirements, to ensure sustainable operational feasibility post‐implementation
3. Establish and prepare project plans, risk management plans, project milestones and deliverables in consultation with business users and various technical teams involved in the project delivery
4. Analyze and document requirements in close liaison with various stakeholders involved in the project, drawing together information needs from different business units across the organization
5. Manage project scopes, project budgets, resource planning, and manpower availability and seek approval for any changes to project scope, project schedule or cost
6. Actively engage all stakeholders involved to identify project risks and apply feasible mitigation controls to ensure minimal impact to overall project deliverables
7. Conduct regular meetings with project steering committee & senior leadership to update project statuses allowing for timely escalations for any gaps or potential risks identified
8. Prepare project matrices to track and analyze project performance, cost performance, time schedules while constantly looking to make improvements to efficiency and resource optimization
9. Budget planning based on organization’s roadmap. Working with various stakeholders in consolidating the budget estimates
10. Oversee, lead and collaborate to drive execution of quality assurance plans and EMV card certification including both manual and automated testing strategies

Requirements

1. Degree in Computer Science or related Technology disciplines with equivalent business experience and 10 years of progressive working experience for a major company or division of a medium to large corporation
2. At least 15 years’ of progressive experience in managing medium to large scale projects in a large organization
3. Manage and mentor the Project/QA team, fostering a collaborative and results‐driven environment
4. Stay updated on industry trends, new quality management methodologies, and regulatory changes
5. Experience creating work breakdown structures (WBS) – translating requirements into tasks is preferred
6. Experience with project management practices and tools to create, manage, track project performance, cost, is preferred
7. Knowledge of Java/J2EE, relational database management system concepts, and object design as related to software application solutions would be advantageous
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism through interactions with stakeholders across all levels
9. Driven and motivated individual with keen eye for detail with great organizational skills that thrives in a fast paced and dynamic environment
10. Prior experience in the Payments processing / Transaction Banking Systems would be highly advantageous
