Senior Project Manager (Banking)

Working for a large banking client, as Project Manager, you will hold accountability for the successful delivery of large and complex IT projects. Utilizing an agreed-upon project methodology, the focus includes robust risk and issues management, comprehensive documentation, and efficient project management within a stringent schedule.

Key Responsibility Areas:

1. Fully Responsible for defining, documenting, and successfully completing complex projects through the entire project lifecycles for consumer banking projects.
2. Preparing PowerPoint presentations to business stakeholders and senior management.
3. Ensuring appropriate control, change control, risk management, and testing processes.
4. Monitors and controls resources, revenue, and capital costs against the project budget, managing expectations of all project stakeholders.
5. Preparing status and MIS reporting to senior management.
6. Works with stakeholders to agree and implement short-term and medium-term modifications to demand, maintaining a register of business requests and reporting as required.
7. Manage projects across all stages of project lifecycles leading to implementation.

Key Selection Criteria:

1. Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 12 years of experience in IT.
2. Current project management accreditation PMP / PRINCE2 preferred; Agile certification would be beneficial.
3. Demonstrated prior success in the delivery of complex IT application projects.
4. Prior experience in managing projects in the banking industry with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
5. Extensive project lifecycle experience understanding the planning and delivery of projects in their entirety.
6. Excellent presentation skills and advanced knowledge in PowerPoint.
7. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
