Senior Project Engineer

Main contractor for LTA project seeking for the above position:

Alternate Saturday

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Act as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, craftspeople, operatives & junior Engineers.
2. Responsible for checking/advise of plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations of area are followed correctly.
3. Responsible to ensure that all materials used, and work performed are in accordance with the specifications & budget.
4. Responsible for work progress timescales. (In charge area)
5. Supervising of project crews.
6. Coordination with consultant traffic team for timely submission and obtaining approval of temporary and permanent traffic diversion plan.
7. Coordination work with authorities, clients and QP.
8. Coordination with LTA term contractors (traffic light and street lighting).
9. Ensure safety, health & security of the in-charge area.
10. Assist in preparation of Approve-In-Principle (AIP), Preliminary, pre-final and final submission drawings with consultant for LTA, NPARKS, PUB and BCA submissions.
11. Attending and preparing minutes for meeting with clients, consultant and technical agencies such as NPARKS, PUB, HDB, URA, etc.
12. Liaise and coordinate with interfacing contractors on traffic diversion matters.
13. Assist in planning and execution of works.
14. Review method statement for various construction works and traffic diversion and traffic control plan for submission to LTA.
15. Take part in briefing with sub-contractors on the technical aspects.
16. Deal with arborist on site works to meet NPARKS requirement.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

1. Minimum 12 years of working experience in road alignment design and traffic engineering after tertiary education. Shall be well versed and have experience in LTA’s design standards.
