Supervise & Coordinate project’s day to day activities including installation and coordination with consultants, main contractors and subcontractors.
Follow up project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems on time to ensure the project progresses on time.
Determine project schedule by studying project plans and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
Guide, provide inputs and comments for the drafter to prepare installation plan drawings, detailed drawings for mechanical parts like piping layout, piping isometric drawing, pipe supports, process and mechanical plan drawings.
Control project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
Check and confirm all safety documents and issue work permits to contractors in collaboration with site safety officers; work permit requirements will be trained by ALSg.
Assist project manager or procurement in charge in preparation of tender documentation, procurement specification and Bill of Quantity.
Attend the weekly and monthly project meetings to update the status and activity of the project.
Prepare weekly or monthly project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
Manage and coordinate vendors and suppliers during commissioning and testing of the equipment and systems.
Maintain site safe condition and clean working environment by enforcing internal procedures, rules, and regulations.
Maintain product and company reputation by complying with state and company policy and regulations.
Contribute to project team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Assist Project Manager in the preparation of project Capex, budget estimation and cost allocation.
Able to work independently and require less supervision.
Willing to work late or during weekends when required.
Conduct Toolbox meetings with safety officers onsite and maintain records.
Procurement and sourcing of equipment and materials.
Have sound knowledge of process piping installation and equipment installation.
Able to work with drafters to produce piping drawings, installation drawings, and detailed design.
Qualifications:
Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or equivalent engineering education.
Physically fit to work at a construction site as project engineer.
Experience:
More than 5 years experience working on site installation coordination and project supervision.
Experience working at process/equipment construction site, plant installation, EPC, or equivalent.
Experience in giving inputs in technical design and technical document preparation.
Experience in piping installation, equipment installation, and pipe routing.
Skills:
Ability to read, understand & demonstrate the P&ID and PFD drawings to site work.
Proficient in reading and understanding engineering plan drawings like piping and pipe support plan, equipment layout mechanical installation plan.
Able to understand Fire Fighting and Alarm systems.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft Project or equivalent and familiar with Google Docs.
Familiar with Singapore and international codes/regulations related to piping and construction.
