Senior/Product Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Support product engineering team on design and development of EV battery system solutions for commercial vehicles including marine and special vehicles, as well as stationary energy storage systems.
2. Work within product engineering team in providing technical assistance to sales team on product, system concept and development, including designing of technical proposal.
3. Be involved in engagement with various clients and organizations on running projects, providing pre and post-sales engineering and onsite support.
4. Participate and support in the design of battery packs and system integration for different applications under engineering team.
5. Assist to create prototypes and electrical and mechanical sketches within the given or decided timeline.
6. Generate, create and optimize the electrical schematic diagram, based on the system design.
7. Generate, create and complete the system Bill-of-Material (BOM) with Engineering Team.
8. Involve liaising with external parties for sourcing suitable components for battery system development, integration and system upgrading.
9. Develop and maintain product accreditation and related qualifications. Ensure continuous contact and information exchange with internal and external interfaces.
10. Support development of engineering documentation including BOMs, drawings, System specification sheet, Operation and Installation Manuals, etc.
11. Support on-site acceptance tests and field issues.

Requirements:

1. A Degree in Engineering and possess knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, with 1 - 3 years’ experience with product design and development.
2. Electrical background will be preferred.
3. Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments, with multi-tasking skillset.
4. A high level of independence and responsibility for the tasks entrusted.
5. Must be able to read and understand electrical single line diagrams, block diagrams, electrical schematic diagrams.
6. Familiar with software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks.
7. Interest in working with colleagues in different countries and with appreciation of cultural differences.
8. Acceptance of field working environment and travel requirements for on-site support.
9. Strong communication in English. Proficiency in Mandarin is required to work closely with Engineering team in China.
