About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Senior Product Designer (UX/UI) to join our team and take charge of creating intuitive, delightful, and impactful user experiences. The successful candidate will lead the design of new features, improvements, and innovations, focusing on user-centred design principles. This role requires an expert in both UX and UI design, with a strong understanding of consumer behaviour and the ability to design solutions that meet the needs of our diverse user base.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Product, and work closely within Product & Engineering teams, our cross-functional teams, as well as external partners, with the primary objective to design the best rental experience for our customers.

Product Discovery

• Lead the design of consumer-facing applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability tests, to understand consumer pain points and inform design decisions.
• Create intuitive and engaging user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that enhance the user experience and increase engagement.
• Own the end-to-end design process, from ideation and user research to prototyping, high-fidelity UI design, and delivering the final product.

Product Delivery

• Design with a focus on scalability and consistency while maintaining brand identity and visual consistency.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure that designs meet business objectives and user needs.
• Iterate on designs based on user feedback and A/B testing, continuously improving the product and its usability.

Upkeep Design Standards

• Manage and maintain the design system, ensuring UI consistency across all touchpoints and products.
• Run design critiques and reviews to share your expertise with and mentor other designers.
• Research review of industry UX/UI trends and competitor solutions and strategies to inform design decisions.

What We're Looking For

5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, specifically for B2C applications, with a proven track record of successful projects.

• Strong portfolio showcasing your design expertise in consumer-facing applications, with a focus on both UX and UI (including wireframes, prototypes, and final UI designs).
• Proficient in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
• In-depth understanding of user-centred design principles and a passion for creating seamless, delightful user experiences.
• Experience with consumer behaviour, and the ability to design engaging, intuitive interfaces that drive user retention and satisfaction.
• Experience with mobile-first design and designing for responsive and adaptive layouts.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present design ideas, rationale, and user insights clearly to stakeholders.
• Ability to lead design projects and make key decisions based on user insights, business goals, and technical constraints.
• Experience with user research methods, A/B testing, and analysing product metrics to improve design decisions.
• Knowledge of design systems, and experience in creating and maintaining a consistent and scalable design system.
• It would be advantageous if you have:

1. Experience working on mobile applications (iOS/Android) in a e-commerce, fintech, health tech or other consumer-focused industries.
2. Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) or an understanding of how designs are implemented by developers.
