About Lumens

Based in Singapore, Lumens Group is a family of brands offering an ecosystem of services around cars. Our story began as a private hire car leasing company to address the needs of the new sharing economy led by Uber and Grab. Our core business has been leasing to ride hailing drivers and we grew our car fleet to one of the largest in Singapore in under 8 years. During this time, we have expanded our services to personal & corporate vehicle leasing, vehicle purchasing and financing.

Emerging strong from the Covid-19 period, Lumens is building for an exciting new era that brings in a wide range of merchants and individual consumers to our ecosystem. By owning a critical mass of vehicles and driver relationships, we are able to innovate on vehicle setup, driver upskilling & deployment, as well as technology and data capabilities to build mobility platform services that impact our everyday lives.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Ownership:

• Take the lead in designing and shaping the entire product line, from conceptualization to execution.
• Define and implement design strategies for new (0-to-1) products that align with business goals and user needs.
• Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and marketing, to drive product vision and strategy.

UI/UX Design:

• Create intuitive, engaging, and aesthetically pleasing user experiences for web and mobile platforms.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform and validate design decisions.
• Build detailed user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that balance usability and business objectives.

Design Systems:

• Develop and maintain scalable, reusable design systems to ensure consistency across the product ecosystem.
• Champion the use of design systems and best practices across teams to streamline collaboration and output quality.

Mentorship & Leadership:

• Provide mentorship and constructive feedback to junior designers to foster their growth and development.
• Advocate for a user-first approach while building a collaborative and innovative team culture.
• Share knowledge and best practices, inspiring the team to raise the bar for design excellence.

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in UI/UX design with a proven track record of leading successful projects.
• Strong ability to conceptualize and execute designs for 0-to-1 projects, delivering impactful solutions from scratch.
• Expertise in building and managing design systems.
• Proficiency in industry-standard tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and accessibility best practices.
• Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale effectively.
• Experience mentoring and providing feedback to junior designers, fostering growth within the team.
