Senior Procurement Executive / Executive

Job Responsibilities

Your duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Procurement Duties

1. Build relationships with suppliers.
2. Obtain supplier quotes.
3. Review supplier performance.
4. Create purchase orders.
5. Ensure proper documentation.

2. Product Knowledge

1. Understanding the specific characteristics, varieties, and quality standards of various fresh produce items (vegetables and fruits).
2. Identify and reduce inefficiencies in operations by understanding quality standards between customers and suppliers.

3. Cost Efficiency

1. Conduct cost analysis to identify the most cost-effective sources and logistics solutions.
2. Combine bulk purchasing from different customers.
3. Monitor and control supplier claims.

4. Quality Assurance

1. Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure the freshness and safety of procured produce.
2. Stay updated with industry standards related to food safety and quality.

5. Order Forecasting

1. Efficiently manage the logistics and transportation of fresh produce to minimize spoilage and ensure timely delivery.
2. Understand the complexities of the fresh produce supply chain, including storage and distribution.
3. Monitor usage through systems or communication with relevant personnel to avoid stockouts and overstocking.

6. Supply Chain Analysis

1. Assess the logistics involved in transporting fresh produce, including transit times, costs, and potential risks (e.g., spoilage).

Compliance

1. Ensure the procurement team follows all statutory acts, company policies, and SOPs.

Job Specifications

1. Preferably has experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management in FMCG or a related industry.
2. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with various departments.
3. Proficient in Business Central or any ERP system is valued.
4. Strong communication skills and effectively bilingual.
5. Motivated and driven individual who possesses strong analytical and negotiation skills.

5-day work week; the incumbent may be required to work on weekends if necessary.
