Job Descriptions:
- Contribute to planning of Respiratory Therapy (RT) services for Tengah General and Community Hospital, including space, design, workflow and manpower considerations.
- Collaborate with clinical, allied health, operational and administrative stakeholders in planning of RT services.
- Assess and manage patients referred for RT independently and implement appropriate treatment plans, applying specialised RT knowledge and skills
- Coordinate patient care with physicians, nurses and other allied health professionals and stakeholders. Collaborate in case conferences. Appropriate interdisciplinary referral where required
- Document clinical assessment and treatment in electronic medical records accurately.
- Network strategically with healthcare practitioners in NUHS.
- Comply with clinical and service standards.
- Assist with administrative duties as tasked
Job Requirements:
- Recognised degree in Respiratory Therapist
- Certified Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist or equivalent from country of origin
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience preferred in Intensive Care Units of a hospital
- Communicate and interrelate effectively in diverse contexts
- Ability to recognise, assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of respiratory conditions.
- Adaptability and ability to multi-task and manage time well
- Effective problem solving, planning and organising skills including awareness of resource management.
