Support the Shift Charge Engineer to meet the contractual, technical and commercial set-up and operation of Desalination Plant
Responsible for the day to day water plant operational activities according to the process specifications and its quality requirement
Perform quality monitoring and operational works according to the safety requirement
Carry out continuous process/ operational improvement programs
Receive materials/ spare parts and maintain proper inventory
Support plant process trouble-shooting when required
Advise isolation/ normalization of equipment as required by the Permit-To-Work system
To assist fully with and help implement and manage all Health, Safety and Environmental practices
Senior Authorized Person under Permit To Work system, authorizing maintenance works in the Plant and ensuring preparedness of the equipment (isolation/de-energization) to carry out works during the absence of the Shift Engineer
Lead the Shift Team whilst on duty and assuming overall responsibility on site during non-office hours during the absence of the Shift Engineer
Preparation and periodic review of Risk Assessment / Work Instructions
Ensure that the plant documentation conforms with ISO requirements
Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by supervisor
Job Requirement
Diploma in Chemical Process Technology, Mechanical, Electrical or other engineering-related field
At least 2 years of work experience preferred
Positive attitude and a good team-player
Willing to work on shift
Willing to work at multiple sites
Willing to work beyond normal working hours due to operational needs of the Desalination Plant
Understanding, knowledge and experience of Desalination plant design, operations and maintenance would be an advantage
Ability to work as part of a specialist shift team and liaise with numerous personnel during critical plant outage periods
