Senior Network Engineer, NSCC

Job description:

1. Responsible for day to day Operations and administration on network & security infrastructure.
2. Responsible for firewall security appliances, routers and switches, particularly troubleshooting and/or debugging network related problems.
3. Perform support, configuration and maintenance of network equipment and network operating systems.
4. Perform basic Linux administration and be able to configure and manage network applications.
5. Handle network projects and identify any missing components in the infrastructure to support future demands on the network infrastructure.
6. Good knowledge in troubleshooting, problem identification, problem resolution and/or resolution recommendation activities.
7. Must have experience in managing Checkpoint firewall, Extreme, HPE, Cisco, and Aruba switches.
8. Work with vendors to deliver the project scope and meet project deadlines.
9. Proactively monitor network performance, ensuring high network availability and smooth operations.
10. Involve in Network and IT audit and adhere to security compliance and governance.
11. Perform evaluation, proof of concept, and provide recommendations.

Job Requirements:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or equivalent.
2. Must be CCNA certified; CCNP preferred.
3. Working knowledge and at least a year of experience in networking technologies like Structured Cabling, WAN, LAN, VPN, Network Security, Wireless, iBGP, eBGP, Routing Protocol, OSFP, etc.
4. Hands-on experience in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, including Cisco, Brocade routers, Dell enterprise, and Cisco switches, network firewall, IPS, SIEM, vulnerability assessment, and monitoring tools.
5. Experience in IPv6 and Data Centre operations is an advantage.
6. Familiarity with Linux (as a user and system), container technology, security concepts, project management, and ITIL processes will be added bonuses.
7. Familiarity with Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) is a plus.
8. Familiarity with basic Linux administration is a plus.
9. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
