Senior Network Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering IT infrastructure services strategies and managing infrastructure-related issues.

Position Summary

The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for evaluating, conceptualizing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting IT infrastructure systems. The role also involves reviewing existing work processes and recommending areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Network Administration

• Manage network administration in a heterogeneous environment (production, DR, test) comprising network and security equipment, telecommunication links
• Perform hardening, upgrades, and enhancements on IT infrastructure components
• Monitor and implement network and product-specific security vulnerability patches
• Ensure data recoverability and business continuity through network backups operations

Project Management and Support

• Provide infrastructure support to projects according to project timelines
• Manage infrastructure enhancement/upgrade projects according to established project management guidelines

Incident and Problem Management

• Provide second-level network support and resolve incidents and problems according to established Service Level Agreements
• Perform problem diagnosis and implement measures to prevent recurrence

Change and Release Management

• Schedule and release network system changes to production environments according to change management processes/procedures

Configuration Management

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all IT infrastructure components used in production environments

Capacity and Performance Management

• Perform infrastructure system and network capacity monitoring and planning
• Monitor and perform performance tuning to optimize network performance

Process Management

• Implement underlying processes to support IT service management, conforming to corporate security policies and guidelines

Documentation

• Develop and maintain technical and process documents to upkeep IT infrastructure

Requirements

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology or related discipline
• Preferably, attained CCNA, CCNP, CCSA, CCSE, PCNSA, PCNSE, NSE (up to level 4)

Experience and Technical Skill Set

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in managing network and security equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, load balancer, DNS, NAC
• Experience/industry certification for public cloud administration
