Responsibilities:

We are looking for a seasoned and driven Physical Commodity Trader with expertise in non-ferrous metals to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will oversee the buying and selling of non-ferrous metals such as copper, aluminum, zinc, lead, and nickel. Your responsibilities will include market trend analysis, building strong supplier and customer relationships, negotiating contracts, and executing trades to achieve optimal profitability. Responsibilities:

1. Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify trading opportunities, focusing on supply-demand dynamics, price trends, and global market conditions for non-ferrous metals.
2. Establish and maintain robust relationships with suppliers and consumers to secure reliable supply sources and sales channels.
3. Implement effective hedging strategies to mitigate risk and manage price volatility in the non-ferrous metals market.
4. Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and trading agreements with suppliers and customers to ensure favorable outcomes and maximize profitability.
5. Execute physical trades of non-ferrous metals using market insights, trading strategies, and sound risk management practices.
6. Coordinate with internal teams, including logistics, finance, and operations, to ensure smooth trade execution and timely delivery of goods.
7. Monitor trade performance, track market movements, evaluate trade results, and identify opportunities for improvement.
8. Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements, including trade laws, anti-money laundering (AML) policies, and risk management standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Physical Commodity Trader, with a focus on non-ferrous metals. A strong track record of successful trading and profitability is highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of the non-ferrous metals market, including key players, supply chains, pricing mechanisms, and industry trends.
• Strong understanding of hedging strategies and the ability to apply them effectively to manage risk in commodity trading.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret market data and make informed trading decisions.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.
• Proficiency in risk management techniques and the ability to manage exposure to price volatility and market risks.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions.
• Proficient in using trading platforms, financial software, and data analysis tools.
• Strong language skills, with fluency in English. Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is highly preferred, as it will facilitate communication with suppliers and customers in key markets.
