(Senior) Medical Technologist (Auto-Chemistry)

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for performing and documenting analytical procedures in accordance with company procedures and regulatory guidelines.
2. Assists in troubleshooting and process improvements to increase data quality, lower costs, or reduce turnaround times to include, updating standard procedures, assisting with troubleshooting.
3. Acts as a technical resource for laboratory staff and supports the team in the absence of the line manager.
4. Performs routine data analysis to determine if an analytical procedure is proceeding according to expectations and that the results are within acceptable tolerances.
5. Identifies and documents potential performance errors or otherwise unusual results and escalates to senior lab personnel.
6. Prepares data analysis results for upload to LIMS system under the guidance of senior level staff.
7. Contributes to CAPA investigations, deviations, and resolution.
8. Responsible for clear, accurate, and timely communications with cross-functional stakeholders.
9. Assists in maintaining laboratory equipment and may offer suggestions for new equipment.
10. Assists in good housekeeping of the lab environment, consistent with 6S standards.
11. Assists in maintaining adequate inventory.
12. Responsible for preparation of buffers and solutions for analysis, as required.
13. Performs and documents calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment as assigned.
14. Performs and documents hands-on training for other lab personnel in areas of proven competency as assigned.
15. Participates in continuing education through self-study, attending training sessions, lectures, and meetings.
16. May lead laboratory or cross-functional projects and assist with the implementation of changes.
17. May be responsible for contributing to the design and development execution of routine methods/assays under moderate supervision.
18. Supports safety, quality, and 6S requirements and initiatives.
19. Complies with company's procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.

Criteria / Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional experience in assigned technical area/bench: Auto-Chemistry.
• Solid technical knowledge in usage of automated analyzers / machines (ADVIA Centaur, COBAS, IDS, etc).
• Bachelor’s degree in any healthcare discipline, with a combination of work experience / training.
• Prior work experience in CRO / central laboratory setting will be advantageous.
• Able to handle high workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable with OT and working on PH/weekends (if required only).
