Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist_Dept of Lab Medicine (Contract)(7802)

As the lead of the Quality Management Team, you will be responsible for the overall management of the Laboratory Quality Management System. This includes working with the Laboratory Divisions on all quality related matters for the Department.

As a QA Lead, you will have extensive knowledge of compliance requirements based on HCSA, ISO15189, College of American Pathologists (CAP) and other Laboratory Quality Standards.

Responsibilities and Duties

You will be responsible for the following:

• Lead, manage, review and update department quality management system
• Lead, manage and coordinate external & internal quality related audits
• Lead, manage and review department quality management reports and documentations
• Lead, manage and coordinate department external quality assurance services (EQAS) program
• Manage validity of accreditation document including licenses and certifications
• Manage and conduct customer satisfaction survey for users of the department services
• Lead, manage and organise department quality trainings
• Any other quality related portfolios within department and institution

Qualification:

• Bachelor, Master, or PhD in Biological Sciences or equivalent with specialising in Laboratory Medicine.
• Certification in Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 8 to 10 years of technical experience in QA and QC within clinical diagnostic settings with at least 5 years of laboratory experience.
• Minimum 3 years in a leadership or supervisory position, demonstrating capabilities in leading a team
• Strong project management skills with successful track records of continuous improvement development and/or implementation of best practices in Quality Control within clinical laboratories
• Effective communication through written and oral means with ability to interact effectively with senior management, auditors, and regulators
