Job description:
The Senior Media Producer plays a vital role in supporting the transformation of health communication and engagement through compelling video storytelling, as part of the NHG Population Health Campus. This role is integral to driving the strategic development of resident engagement, aligned to key national programmes such as Healthier SG and Age Well SG.
The producer will be responsible for overseeing the full video production cycle - from pre-production to post-editing while creating emotionally resonant and impactful video content. This content will support resident and community engagement efforts, promoting proactive, self-sustaining health behaviors and fostering stronger community connections. By capturing the stories of activated residents, communities and health partners, the producer will bring to life the aspirations of adding 15 million years of Healthy Life across central and north Singapore. He/she will also play a key role in capacity and capability development within the Population Health Campus. Beyond producing impactful video content, this role will elevate our media capabilities, enabling the central and north regions to become a hub of health communication excellence. By strengthening storytelling techniques and digital production processes, the producer will build internal capacity while also serving as a resource for community partners, helping them scale their communication efforts.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Pre-production:
- Develop video concepts aligned with the goals of Population Health and key campaigns like the 15M Movement.
- Collaborate with the engagement and planning teams to ensure content supports community activation and collaboration.
- Lead research, scripting, and storyboarding to ensure the storytelling is both emotionally and strategically aligned with health objectives.
Production:
- Capture real-life, authentic stories of residents, community, and health partners, focusing on emotional/inspiring narratives that drive health and community actions.
- Oversee all technical aspects of video shoots, including direction, cinematography, lighting, and sound, ensuring high production quality.
- Engage with communities to bring out their stories in ways that resonate deeply with the audience and encourage health-focused actions.
Post-production:
- Edit and refine video content, ensuring it aligns with Population Health Campus vision and the overarching mission.
- Integrate graphics, music, and other enhancements to elevate storytelling and maximize impact across various formats.
- Optimise content for diverse digital platforms, making it accessible and engaging for residents, community partners, and stakeholders.
- Tailor content to fit the unique nuances of each digital platform, ensuring that the format and delivery are native to the platform, maximizing engagement and accessibility.
Establishing a Media Centre of Excellence to support capacity and capability development
- Provide training, expert guidance and support, enabling each unit to scale our media production capabilities while ensuring content alignment.
- Build and nurture a network of similar functions across our community partners.
- Increase media visibility and impact in the North and Central region.
Innovation to enhance engagement strategy
- Implement innovative video strategies that align with modern digital marketing trends, ensuring each piece of content contributes to the wider NHG Population health strategy.
- Enhance the storytelling approach to reflect a blend of traditional videography and fresh, innovative methods that connect with both residents and national health strategies.
Job Requirements
Education/Training/Experience
- Proven experience in full-cycle video production, including pre-production, filming, and post-production.
- Strong storytelling abilities, particularly in capturing authentic emotional narratives that connect with diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in video production tools and software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Capcut).
- Ability to blend traditional videography techniques with innovative approaches to create fresh, engaging content.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders, including communities, individuals, and internal teams.
- A passion for creating meaningful, impactful video content that supports organisational missions and resonates with communities, primary care, and community care partners.
