Job overview:

As the Senior Media Manager for Burger King APAC, you will play a pivotal role in the regional APAC marketing team, advising on key media strategies and driving both media effectiveness and efficiencies. You will collaborate with the broader marketing team in APAC and engage with key stakeholders, including media partners and franchisee marketing teams.

Your responsibilities:

Regional Media Leadership:

  • Act as the central media expert for the APAC region, partnering with franchise markets to elevate their media strategies and execution.
  • Build a consolidated central view of markets’ media investments and opportunities for improvements.
  • Provide counsel on media mix, media investments, and optimization across various channels (e.g., digital, TV, OOH, social).
  • Build strong relationships with local marketing teams, fostering trust and collaboration.

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Lead the development of key markets' media strategies during annual planning cycles.
  • Develop and educate media frameworks for broader organization.
  • Help local teams identify opportunities to drive media effectiveness and ROI.
  • Be recognized by franchisees as a media expert consultant.

Performance Tracking and Reporting:

  • Develop KPIs to drive and track performance, linking to in-market results.
  • Put in place trackers on working media and analyze performance for actionable insights.

Agency and Vendor Coordination:

  • Support local markets in managing media agencies and vendor relationships.
  • Explore potential global/regional partnerships as needed.

Cross team/functional collaboration & driving Organization Capability:

  • Collaborate closely with global teams to ensure media strategies align with brand priorities.
  • Lead efforts to train the broader organization, equipping local teams with necessary tools.

Your skills & experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in media planning and buying or a related role within a multi-market/regional organization.
  • Strong understanding of APAC markets and unique consumer habits.
  • Deep expertise in paid media channels (digital, traditional, and emerging platforms).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with a focus on performance measurement and optimization.
  • Fluent English; knowledge of Japanese, Mandarin or Korean is a plus.
