Senior Mechanical Engineer

Our Client:

Our client is a global chemical manufacturer, looking for a Mechanical Engineer to ensure plant equipment reliability through driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of reliability programs for smooth operations.

The Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the maintenance and reliability of plant equipment by implementing engineering standards and maintenance best practices.
2. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance mechanical reliability and reduce operational downtime.
3. Manage CAPEX projects efficiently, ensuring alignment with plant reliability goals and budget requirements.
4. Develop and implement comprehensive equipment reliability programs, including Management of Change (MOC) processes and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations.
5. Troubleshoot mechanical issues, providing technical support to frontline teams for swift and effective resolutions.
6. Monitor and resolve recurring equipment performance problems, tracking root causes and implementing long-term solutions.
7. Define and develop detailed maintenance scopes with cost-effective and strategic proposals.
8. Establish and maintain quality checklists and maintenance hold-points to improve equipment performance.
9. Lead multidisciplinary teams in solving complex mechanical issues, ensuring timely and structured problem resolution.
10. Foster a strong safety culture by actively participating in health, safety, and environmental programs to support the organization's goals.

The Requirements:

1. Preferably degree in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or relevant qualifications, with experience working in Chemical or Petrochemical sector.
2. Good understanding of equipment design and maintenance principles of both rotating and static equipment, industry standards and maintenance best practices, familiar with API and ASME.
3. Self-driven, logical with problem solving mindset.
4. Good communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with stakeholders of all levels.
5. Must be open to work in Jurong Island.
