Design & Development: Conceptualize, design, and develop mechanical components and systems for high-temperature under vacuum applications, ensuring durability, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
Material Selection & Metallurgy: Select and analyze materials (metals, alloys, ceramics, coatings, sealings) for high and low extreme temperature performance, corrosion resistance, and mechanical integrity.
Manufacturing Support: Collaborate with team to develop and improve fabrication, welding, heat treatment, and surface coating processes.
Testing & Validation: Develop and execute test plans for equipment performance, structural integrity, and material behaviors under real-world operating conditions.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams, including R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, and customers, to optimize designs and improve product reliability.
Requirements:
Possess Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or relevant field.
At least 4 years of experience in the design and analysis of equipment.
Strong background in metallurgy related to equipment design.
Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and mechanical design principles.
Proficiency in high and low extreme temperature material selection, including superalloys, refractory metals, ceramics, and thermal barrier coatings.
Hands-on experience with CAD software (SolidWorks or AutoCAD).
Familiarity with welding, casting, heat treatment, and surface engineering processes.
Experience in corrosion, oxidation, creep, and fatigue analysis.
Preferably experience in equipment design, R&D, prototyping, and testing of high/low temperature components.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Willingness to travel as required.
