ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Manager, Strategic Planning and Communications, will play a key role in shaping and implementing the communications strategy to enhance brand visibility. This role requires a strategic mindset and a good grasp of public relations, brand management and content creation, including integrated marketing tactics. The ideal candidate should be able to supervise, motivate team members, collaborate with stakeholders, and align initiatives with the company’s objectives.
Branding & Communications Oversight
- Lead and execute the management of the corporate brand and identity, ensuring consistency across all departments and regional offices.
- Serve as the brand ambassador, ensuring the integrity and consistency of brand messaging across all touchpoints.
- Lead and execute initiatives to enhance brand equity, ensuring alignment with corporate values and customer expectations.
- Drive the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies aligned with overarching business goals to enhance market share and brand presence
Media Relations Management
- Identify and leverage strategic Public Relation opportunities; oversee the development and dissemination of impactful press releases and manage the agency effectively.
- Organise and facilitate high-profile media engagements, including press conferences and media tours, while managing relationships with key journalists.
- Prepare detailed media training for spokespersons, ensuring readiness for interviews and public appearances.
- Handle crisis communication and ensure timely response to media inquiries.
Project Management & Executive Support
- Lead and execute high-impact special projects that align with strategic business objectives.
- Provide executive communications and speechwriting support for leadership, including thought leadership content and keynote addresses.
- Manage the communications budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to support strategic initiatives.
- Serve as the secretariat and provide administrative support for the management team’s engagement in Management Council meetings.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Brand, Marketing, or similar fields
- At least 5 years of experience in a Corporate Marketing Communications role, with 3 years of managerial/supervisory experience, preferably from service-based industries
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies that drive brand growth and customer engagement.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience crafting compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to measuring and optimising brand and marketing campaigns performance.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Willingness to work occasional weekends to support events.
