IMDA is seeking a creative and experienced Senior Manager to join our Strategic Communications and Branding team. In this role, you will be supporting the team lead to oversee two critical pillars of excellence: Corporate Communication and Brand Strategy and Management. You will need to demonstrate strong skills in writing, editing, presentation, listening, and storytelling, as well as creativity, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and project management. You must be able to adapt to changing situations and audiences, and drive impactful narratives aimed at enhancing brand presence, and positioning IMDA as a leader in Singapore's digital ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

Executive Communications and Employer Branding:

  1. Develop and/or evaluate materials for C-Suite communication channels, including LinkedIn profile management, media and/or speaking engagements, and Board updates.
  2. Support an over-arching cadence of communications for employer branding activities such as annual staff conference, Year-in-Review videos, etc.

Corporate Communication:

  1. Drive strategic communication and narratives to convey key messages across all communication touchpoints.
  2. Manage Crisis Management Strategy and immediate response plans to mitigate reputational risks.
  3. Collaborate with various teams to harmonize plans and messaging with intended audiences from a strategic lens.
  4. Oversee all aspects of media relations and engagement to position IMDA as the Architect of Singapore's Digital Future (ASDF).
  5. Coordinate efforts with other agencies and ministries, where required.

Brand Strategy and Management:

  1. Manage Brand Research initiatives and utilize findings to develop brand strategy and architecture for IMDA's main and sub-brands.
  2. Translate brand strategy into compelling narratives, visuals, and employer branding plans.
  3. Ensure consistent application of brand strategy across all touchpoints to present a unified and compelling brand presence.

Qualifications:

  1. 8-10 years of relevant experience in Public Relations/Government Comms/Public Affairs/Journalism.
  2. At least 3-5 years of team/staff management experience.
  3. Strong creative writing and presentation skills; adept at managing senior stakeholders for public engagements.
  4. Highly strategic, driven, and energetic with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Ability to understand business units’ needs and translate them into impactful strategic communications plans.
  6. Experience in managing third-party agencies/vendors/suppliers.
  7. Strong team player with the ability to work well independently.
  8. Experience working with and pitching to journalists across media channels is an advantage (but not a pre-requisite).
