The Regional Construction Insurance Senior Manager works with the Vice President Development Commercial Asia, Vice President Development Procurement Asia and the Executive Director Global Risk Management to provide support on all construction insurance related matters including assisting with the preparation of underwriting information, preparing reports, assisting with claim management and providing oversight on contractor and design/engineering consultants insurances. The role involves oversight across Singapore, Macau and other parts of Asia if required including travel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
General oversight on all construction activities in the region to ensure compliance with insurance requirements and that all required parties are kept informed on the latest information.
Implement standardized processes for collecting, analyzing and reporting underwriting information, values, and other information as required by Global Risk Management and preparation of presentations as required.
Preparing monthly and ad hoc reports including the collating of information.
Provide oversight and create efficient and effective processes for identifying, reporting, and monitoring construction related claims to Global Risk Management.
Coordinate with Development Procurement and Global Risk Management to review and stipulate correct levels of insurance coverage in construction and design/engineering consultancy agreements.
Monitor and review contractor and design/engineering consultant insurances.
Ensure provision and maintenance of compliant insurances by contractors and design/engineering consultants.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Project / Construction Management or Risk Management and Insurance or similar.
At least 3 years' experience in construction or insurance brokerage/insurance company/risk management.
Strong communication skills, developing and maintaining effective relationships with project teams.
Flexible working hours to attend global calls as required, also ability to travel regularly.
IT skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Ability to work within a constantly changing environment.
Ability to work to tight deadlines.
